'Being Human' Revisited

Aidan Turner, Lenora Crichlow and Russell Tovey at  the Being Human Panel MCM Comic Con 2016

It's eight years (25 January 2009) since Being Human and, of course, Aidan Turner, burst onto our TV screens and I became enthralled by the vampire, werewolf and ghost who share a house together. Finding myself in Bristol recently, I thought I'd take a look at some of the show's locations and see how things have changed since it was filmed.

First up: the Pink House.  I was delighted to see it was being cared for though the shade of pink is more terracotta than in the past. But the bath is still in the garden, the door a very similar shade of blue.

Next: to the hospital, where  Mitchell (Aidan Turner) and George (Russell Tovey) work and look!!! you can actually live there!  It's being developed into apartments called The General.  Prices start at £280,000 for a one bedroom apartment.

Maybe this is a good time to see some of Mitchell at the hospital gates too:

And finally: the war memorial. But wait! Where is it? Ah there!  Looking rather sad in the middle of a huge road improvement scheme. I'll have to come back and see it when the road works are done.

Being Human is currently on BBC iplayer. If you've never watched it, give yourself a treat and catch it while you can!
